The ideal alternative for a hangar!
With a COBRA, you are always the first to take off. Even the journey to the airfield is a pleasure, because your COBRA trailer always sits well on the road – whether loaded or empty. The trailer can remain on the towing vehicle for rigging and de-rigging the aircraft. The large opening angle and the well thought-out loading aids make loading the aircraft parts easy and clear. Your aircraft is safe from damage in the trailer and you can usually set it up and take it down more quickly than if you had to nest it in the hangar.
Execution
The COBRA -traileris white, as this is the best way to reflect the sun’s heat.
- As a contrasting color for the mudguards and the bumper protection strip, you can choose between blue and red to choose from.
- All external steel parts are galvanized.
- Due to the risk of cracks in aluminum welds, no aluminum is welded at any point on the Cobra trailer.
- The scope of delivery includes a large box for accessories and a spare wheel.
- The detachable ramp can be used as a jack.
- Thanks to its flat design, the Cobra trailer has low air resistance and is not sensitive to crosswinds.
- The low center of gravity guarantees safe road holding in all weathers.
Chassis
Lower part
Our drop sides are one-piece, internally ribbed, white powder-coated hollow aluminum profiles made from a high-strength alloy. This allows us to optimize the wall thicknesses while keeping the weight as low as possible.
The one-piece aluminium sandwich floor is inserted, screwed and riveted into the two lower brackets. This results in a particularly rigid and torsion-resistant ring anchor construction. There is a guide groove in the side wall for the wing trolleys and a T-slot for the hollow chamber seal between the upper and lower sections.
Massive grinding spurs protect the rear edge when maneuvering off-road. The tailgate is protected against scratches by a plastic strip
Top
Curved side and top surfaces give the beautifully shaped upper section a particularly high level of strength.
The tail unit scoop is flow-optimized. A ventilation slot between the upper section and the tailgate provides ventilation and protects against condensation. The large, top-opening front flap is held in place by gas springs. A plastic side impact protection strip prevents scratches. The telescopic arms, which are protected inside the trailer, open and close the top section easily and safely. You can choose between two versions: the one-piece GRP sandwich top section with aluminum frame or the self-supporting, watertight riveted and bonded, powder-coated aluminum top section.
